This season has been going great minus finchford of course. This past Sunday was the Eagle Point Criterium, it was awesome. The Eagle Point park is beautiful and course is awesome. We started off attacking on the first lap (Me), I stayed away for a lap, then Bryan went, then Andrew, eventually Bryan, Adam and Ryan got away. Bryan won, which was awesome, then I led out Andrew and he destroyed the field in the sprint. A perfect day and a perfect race.

The Track

We hit up the Cedar Rapids track last night. I love going there, its fast, fun and there are no cars. My favorite race is still the granny gear race, its amusing to see people coasting during a race, although we were still hitting in the 20's for speed. The first race was just a scratch race and it was sean, andrew, lee and me taking on the group, sean andrew lee went 123 and then chris reed took fourth and I got fifth, i guess i am not quite over being sick. I will give it up for chris tho, we attack him so many times and he just kept on going. My heart rate wasn't too high today, and its ok out, so im off for a ride.

Weathers getting better

I rode for about two hours yesterday(outside) and about 3 today. It is great to stop doing two and a half hour indoor trainer rides, man they get boring. Tomorrow starts the group rides in Iowa City. I haven't cut my steerer tube on my new bike so I'm sure I'll get some crap for it, o well. I have been feeling better and better, and I am so pumped for the season, Bikes 2 You will be one of the fastest cat 3 teams and I promise we have the most fun, which at this point is what it is all about. I love biking

Hey everybody, I am back. I did the bikes 2 u roller race the other weekend and rode a 614. I thought that was pretty bad, but it was my first one. I am starting power training, I am feeling fast and I think my legs are in way better shape than last year. Today we had a snow day at Iowa, the third one in 3 years, I think they went 15 years without having one before the first one. I can't wait to get my ass riding outside, inside is getting ridiculous.

The past week was ok for training. I was sick at the beginning of the week, but I am feeling better now, this next week should be a great week for training as long as it doesnt storm outside. i am going to start cross country skiing now. adam, you should call me to ride or something. I am actually enjoying lifting right now, my weights are getting higher and higher. The cross video's on velonews are pretty cool. I read todd wells' blog and notice that he called ryan trebon, 'treboohoo', I thought that was funny. I feel like I am getting boring, o well, back to studying.

I wonder what Todd Wells is doing right now...........

The winter is here

Today, I lifted weights and ran. the run turned into a walk, because of a blister. I won't run for the next couple of days because I pulled a muscle. It is the one right below the calf, I don't know what it is called. There is a gravel race coming up, but I dont plan on doing it, I am done with racing for a little while, hopefully it gets magically warm tomorrow, my new bike is sad. The gravel rides here on tues, thurs, have stopped cause no one came, i dont like riding in the dark anyway. I am still new at this blogging stuff and will have more fun posts in the future, goodnight america

NEW BIKE!!!!

today i finally got out on my new road bike, it is a Look 555 with sram force. it felt great to be out on the road again, i am tired of cyclocross because i am no good at it. It is officially the offseason for me, and i couldnt be more excited. This past weekend was jingle cross, and i could worked over in both days. I had a ton of fun though, and would do it again, even if i knew i was going to suck. I think my favorite jerseys there were the dont forget your day job ones, they are awesome.
